SCIE Testbed
This tool has been built specifically for the UK social care sector, and care homes for the elderly in particular.
The tool allows care home organisations to self-assess their performance and generates the star rating that the care home is likely to achieve if an inspection were to be carried out today. The tool allows an assessment of a home's performance to be made on all the 38 detailed KLORA 'outcomes', grouped into 7 Headings:
- Choice of home
- health and personal care
- daily life and social activities
- complaints and protection
- environment; staffing
- management & administration
Each outcome area is scored - Poor, Adequate, Good, or Excellent - corresponding to the 0-3 Stars. A user can carry out such an assessment at any time, and repeat the assessments over time. All assessments can be saved and retrieved.
Individual workers are also able to make a self-assessment of their relevant skills and abilities.
